Privacy Policy
Last updated July 25, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains what Burgondy ("Service"), operated by Myoats LLC ("we", "us"), collects, why we collect it, how it is used, and what choices you have. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.
By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information we collect
Account information
When you sign in with a third party identity provider we receive your name, email address, and profile image. We use these to identify your account and show who is signed in.
Content you provide
- Resumes you upload, paste, or edit
- Job descriptions you paste
- Answers you write, including any AI chat history you choose to paste in
This is the material the Service works on. It commonly contains personal information such as your employment history, education, and contact details. Include only what you are comfortable sharing.
Usage information
We record the credits your account consumes and the cost of the AI calls it makes, so we can apply plan limits, show your balance, and prevent abuse.
Analytics
We record product events tied to your account, such as which steps you complete and errors the app hits, so we can see what is broken and what people use. These events are stored in our own database, not sent to a third party analytics service, and text values are truncated so resume or job description content cannot be carried in them.
Information stored in your browser
We use your browser's local and session storage to keep you signed in, cache your work so it survives a refresh, remember your last view, and store your plan allowance so the interface does not flicker. This is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. Clearing your browser storage will sign you out and clear cached work.
Payment information
Payments are processed by a third party payment provider. We never receive or store your full card number. We keep only the identifiers for your customer and subscription records, your plan, and its renewal date.
3. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Provide the Service, including scoring and rewriting your resume
- Identify your account and keep you signed in
- Apply credit limits and process subscription payments
- Detect and prevent abuse, including attempts to evade credit limits
- Diagnose faults and improve the product
- Respond to you when you contact us
- Meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations
4. How your content is used
Your resume and job description are sent to Anthropic, the provider of the Claude AI models, in order to score and rewrite your resume. This is how the Service functions and cannot be disabled while using those features. Anthropic's own terms describe how it handles data submitted through its API, including its position on training; we do not control those terms and encourage you to read them.
We do not sell your information. We do not use your resume content for advertising. We do not share it with employers, recruiters, or job boards.
5. Storage and security
Your account and content are stored with our database provider. Access is restricted per user at the database level, so one account cannot read another account's content. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Service providers
We rely on the following third parties to operate the Service. Each processes information only as needed to provide its part of the Service, and each has its own privacy policy.
- Google — sign-in
- Anthropic — AI processing of resumes and job descriptions
- Supabase — database, authentication, and server functions
- Stripe — payment processing
- Netlify — website hosting
These providers may store or process information in the United States and in other countries where they operate.
7. Retention
Your saved work remains in your account until you delete it or delete your account. Billing records are retained as long as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes.
8. Your choices
- Delete any resume from within the Service at any time.
- Cancel your subscription at any time from your account page.
- Request deletion of your account and its associated data by email.
- Request a copy of the information we hold about you.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information. Contact us and we will respond as required by applicable law.
9. Children
The Service is intended for individuals at least eighteen (18) years old. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under that age. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the updated version on this page and update the date above. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
